Using children and fingerpaint to enforce pedestrian zones

Recommended Posts

I'm normally disdainful of blogs, but this one has an interesting entry. It cites a New York Times article about a mayor who used fingerpainting children to enforce a new pedestrian zone.

The municipal authorities were able to accomplish it in three days, beginning on a Friday night and installing paving, lighting, planters and furniture by the end of the day on Monday.
