Chris
The Board of Trustees of the Spring Independent School District voted for a $280 million Bond at a recent meeting. Key features of the Bond include a Comprehensive High School and 6 Elementary Schools. There are a number of needed district items and Campus Improvments in the Bond also. All items are a result of student growth. Spring ISD is expected to have over 40,000 students in the next 5-10 years.Spring ISD Bond Plan 2007 Project Overview Spring ISD Bond 2007 Questions and AnswersSpring ISD Bond 2007 Campus Improvements PlanSpring ISD Bond 2007 Informative Power Point

Chris
I wonder where the new HS will go? South Side of the District near the Beltway?I dont think this will be a traditional high school. They said Comprehensive what ever that means. Maybe its a school for students to catch up in credits like the neighboring Klein ISD's Vistas School. I am suprised they did'nt include any Intermediate Schools in this Bond Plan. Hopefully Community Members will vote yes for this bond unlike the previous bond that was turned down.
