I recently called Dawson and they don't do pier & beam /block & base. They referred me to Pfister who never called me back. I also called Bill and he got back with me 2 days later. I went with a small outfit called A-Affordable Foundation Repair - Ricky: 281-799-1742. (He didn't mind me posting his phone # and he's not really good with email.) He came out, gave me a quote which included straightening all of my blocks, replacing old ones, leveling and tightening all required. He also added two 30' beams (with blocks) the length of my house all for about the cost I hear most are quoted for just the leveling. He started one day later and was done the same day. When I saw something I didn't like, he came back out 1 day later and corrected it. My house is a whole lot better now and there is less interior vibration in the floors and windows because of the added beams. I'm not sure if Ricky will do the same great job for everyone but I'm happy with his work. Anyone looking may want to give him a consideration
