  3. Isn't it getting pretty dangerous near Laredo? Especially if you cross the border into Nuevo Laredo. I hear alot of drug trafficing is spilling into the U.S. side. I keep hearing alot of murders and kidnappings are happening. I would assume that would slow down anybody from moving into Laredo.

Yea what about El Paso they grew from 515,000 to 618,000 now its gone back down slowly to 579k to 563,000. It may be the same there too.

Laredo grows in population but not as much as building out in the areas. So it could grow much slower this time but not as fast.

Actually, according to the US Census Bureau's population finder, Laredo's population as of 2004 is estimated at just over 200,000... not nearly 300,000. It's grown a lot in ten years, but not as much as you're saying it has. It now has about the same population of the city in which I live (Shreveport.)

Does Laredo even have a skyline? I've never been there, but I also can't seem to find any good pictures of the city. Obviously it's growing rapidly, but what is fueling the growth?

where did u find think kind of info

    show this to emporis.com

  5. Houston, I love you all

They should build something like a bourbon street or sometihing usuall to make New Orleans feel more like at home of what they had. So it would help to bring more of them here into Houston.

Like building a All u can eat Popeyes buffets around Houston

Build a walk tour along a street with shopping centers and cafes, and more like bourbon street

and a couple more interesting things they had for fun also.

  6. Ive taken them off about 3 or 4 months ago because some people didn't like them

but i will update to create whole new different pics for the future of Texas cities!

    soon. :)

  7. Pasadena[/font]

There are over 44% of Hispanics living in Pasadena at population of 144,500 people in it

There can be many that does not know alot of English.

If so for the city they could translate some things in the city

    for instance

    like.

    Roads Signs

    STOP - PARADA

RAILROAD CROSSING - CRUCE DE FERROCARRIL

    NO PARKING - Ning

  8. This city would look more advance with those buildings.

    Did u create this yourself

but i know this was the full length to the Dallas Skyline of the two missing buildings

if so u should make more like these will all the buildings showing.

Its a great picture I had hard time finding one like this

I made the full length skyline for Houston as well with its missing buildings.

  9. I was watching on the news this morning and saw that city council is looking to add one maybe two more city council seats. From what I understand, each city council seat represents roughly 150,000 people. By adding two seats, they are estimating that the current population is 300,000 more than the estimate before Katrina. I would guestimate 2,300,000.

Does anyone have any data on the population shift since Katrina hit?

I have no clue. but i know some of the NO people moved in other cities in Texas besides Houston and other states that I know of Ill say that maybe there's only at least 60,000 to 70,000 of NO people live in Houston 20 to 30,000 in Dallas-Ft Worth area and over about half of the rest in other parts of the U.S. .

Quite a bit of cities has increased their area in population because of the Katrina that happened in New Orleans many most of New Orleans moved futher up to live in northern cities to be away from the disaters in the Gulf. Like when Rita was closly to harm Houston in that time.

  10. I was just curious to find out what is the breaking point to distinguish a low-rise building from a high-rise building.

For example, my definition of a low-rise is any building that is between 4 and 11 stories, a high-rise is a building that is 12 stories +, and a skyscraper is a building that is greater than or equal to 400 feet.

    well yeah

    your rite. ^_^
