  1. When Grand Corners fell apart..I heard the Bed Bath beyond decided to move over next to the walmart. According to a past site plan from moodyrambin....a Bed bath store is suppose to go next to Kohls....I heard that it is not a bed bath and beyond...but will be a BuyBuyBaby...owned by Bed Bath Beyond....supposedly they are entering the Houston Market this year.... makes sense since they have stores at west oaks and katy mills...can anyone confirm?

  2. that link is old...they changed the name from parkway shops to Shops of Bella Terra - Moody Rambin owns that section on bellaire - (they are the ones who built the walmart center across the street and have named that section the same). Right now ...they are building a Kids R Kids daycare at that corner in front of the parkway lakes.

Also - speaking of the walmart - Moody Rambin has announced that Wells Fargo to going in (next to whataburger) and some kind of health clinic is going in on the frontage of 99 next to sprint I believe.

  3. its not a restaurant. It's a strip center. You can go to page-partners.com and check it out. Looks about 6 or 7 spaces.

Also, 18 of the 25 stores have been announced. You can check the malls web site.

No restaurant pad has been sold although there are I believe 3 pads reserved for restaurants.

  4. update - construction us under way for phase 2 behind Nike.

on the front of the mall where I said a restaurant is being built - well, it's not. I heard it will be a strip center. Less than 10 spaces..can anyone confirm?

Any type of food place would make a killing.

  5. The mall tenants were told last Tuesday that construction would start this week by the mall management. They were also told that 1 of the outer pads had been sold but that they could not mention who bought it as it is the business who gets to release that info.

  6. I think some basic work was done during phase 1. This area has been roped off since then and seems to have areas inside it that are designed to handle the next phase.

On a side note - the area around the restaurant pad facing the feeder had a construction fence go up. Anyone one what restaurant is going in?

Also - confirmed 1st tenant - Saks 5th ave outlet

  7. Hear construction will start next week on Phase 2 of the Houston Premium Outlet Mall. 30 to 35 more stores will be added. Stores should be open by Thanksgiving. Anyone seen a site plan or store list yet? Simon nevers build unless they have leases signed.

Also - where are the restaurants - the mall has been open 2 years now and no one has built on those restaurant pads.

  8. ok...thanks...the first account includes the land I'm asking about. It does not seem logical that LOB would start this section. It is not close to the current area that has been developed. Right now they are just moving dirt..looks like some roads being placed but it's hard to tell. I can tell you my house vibrates at sunrise now as they have a lot of trucks back there.

I'm surprised no one has any ideas. They have posted any signs or permits.

  9. do you have the land ID number? I've gone to the website but all I can find for LOB is all the surronding area plots. Even on Lakes of Bella Terra website it does not show they own this land. The land currently under construction stretches from West Park Lakes subdivison to 1093, west side of Canal but does not go past the power lines (where Bella Terra future section will be). They are only moving dirt on this small section, not the other plots. It looks like a section on either side of bella terra was saved (723 side as well) for something else...I'm guessing it would be a prime location for retail - at both entrances to the future sections of bella terra.

    Thanks!

  10. OK...This is what I found out...

The current construction in Phase 3 is for a 24hr Fitness Center (next to Best Buy) - I saw the bid for the site work online. Also, in front of Walmart it is going to be Subway, Bright Dental, and Fantastic Sam's (according to Chronicle lease signings).

I can't find any tidbit on what is happening in the large field on the other side of the street (between 1093 and West Park Lakes). I can't even find out who owns it. Any ideas?

  11. I'm confused...Why would Bed Bath and Beyond be listed here...they announced they signed a lease across the street at Grand Corners. Could this be Buy Buy Baby (owned by Bed Bath and Beyond).

What happen to Marshall's? It was listed on Moody Rambin web site.

Fitness center - why - Lifetime is down the street and 1/2 dozen others right in Katy.

On the comment about Barnes & Noble - they were suppose to go into the Simon property at 10 and 99 but its on hold. I saw a article this week that says B&N may close 100 stores in 2010. Doubt they would put one in with one in West Oaks.

  12. They have started clearing the land on 1093 and Canal Road. This property is behind the Walmart development. It backs up to Westpark Lakes and on the other side Lakes of Bella Terra. Does anyone know what it is? Is it retail or another subdivision. I can't find anything about it online. It is not part of Bella Terra...as a side note...it seems that the construction equipment is also being used in phase 3 of the shops of bella terra.

  13. Phase 3 site work began this week. Does anyone have any updated info on what is going in here - this is the section next to Best Buy toward 1093. The other side of Best Buy (between Kohl's) is suppose to have a Marshals and Sports Authority. The old site plan had said movie place but I heard that was axed a while ago..

    Thanks..

  14. I noticed construction has started in Grand Corners (1093 & Grand parkway). The location looks like the county offices...can anyone confirm....also...does anyone know of more lease signings...and is it really going to be a Bed Bath & Beyond (1 down the street at Katy Mills & 1 one at West Oaks)...I heard it might be a Buy Buy Baby...(owned by Bed Bath Beyond) as they enter the Texas market in force in 2010
