  1. Worse, Mom's English Lit library and my accounting and law library THANKS FOR THE HELP EVERYONE!!!
  2. Does anyone have a website link or library reference for how to claculate/determine the weight bearing capacity of the floors in residential structures? Or know a structural engineer who does this type of analysis? I don't want to overload the capacity of my new (new to me, built in 1990, block and beam) home's floor/foundation. I'm a bookophile, love antiques, and have a waterbed for my bad back. In short, my "stuff" weighs a couple of tons, probably more. BTW, this is one of the most useful forums I've ever seen! Y'all are GREAT PEOPLE!!!
  3. Thanks everyone! I'm working on it; will report back
  4. Anyone know anything about Hy-Tech Foundation Repair? Martin, Mind saying who gave the $2600 quote? I've been told 1) Foundation; 2) Roof (that gets the house squared off); then everything else and, if you do the last part first, you get to redo it later (and from what I've seen in our condos it's all too true). I was so glad to find this thread and not have to start from scratch!
