I remember driving on 45 when the contraflow lanes were in effect. Nothing like seeing cars in the lane next to you, headed the opposite direction, at high rates of closing speed, and nothing but a bunch of plastic poles to separate you. It was fun watching the workers place and remove the lane separators as the rest of us zoomed past.

   Hence the nickname "Contra-Crash". 

Why does every new freeway have to be a toll road? to me it defeates the purpose of relieving traffic.

Thats a lot of hassle for inferior donuts that are sweet enough to cause a diabetic coma on the first bite. Shipley's have the perfect balance that prevents coma induction until the third donut.

I lived in Houston from April 1999 thru Oct. 2001, in the Cooperfield part of NW Houston off 290 & 6. There used to be a Japanese buffet right in front of the Willowbrook Mall. Is it still there, what's the name of the place? They had the best Sushi I've ever eaten. It was 21 bucks a person for all you could eat. Also there was fish place that was built in a boat on 1960 Capt. somethin anyone know the name of it and is it still in business? They served fried catfish.
