  1. That was the weird high concept/ theme restaurant right? That took over the space after Hard Rock closed. Never went as it was open for less than a year but here was the Press article on its closure: http://www.houstonpr...-hot-to-handle/
  2. OK. I just checked TABC public records and I believe the place in question was this: Pour La France! Cafe and Bakery 2811 Kirby Drive Houston, TX 77098 Orig. Issue Date 8/11/92 Date expired 8/11/93 as rsb320 mentioned, it's very possible that this place was torn down to make room for the Hard Rock Cafe, but I remember the Hard Rock being in that spot on Kirby since at least the mid-to-late 80s, yes?
  3. The Stop-N-Go on the corner of Montrose and Westheimer (now a Valero) had in the mid 80s: Gauntlet (my friends and I stayed there late into the night playing this) Paperboy Spy Hunter Lucky Way on Montrose between Fairview and W. Gray: Double Dragon (probably the only Double Dragon machine within a 5 mile radius in the Summer of 1988) Stop N Go on West Alabama at Yoakum: Street Fighter 2
  4. Great thread, brings back memories. 1. does anyone remember the name of a French bistro/cafe that was on Kirby, around late 80s / early 90s? It was around Kirby and Westheimer or maybe Kirby and Alabama, on the east side of street. 2. does anyone remember a hamburger place that was on Heights Blvd, south of I-10 on the east side of the street, about 20 years ago? Many thanks if anyone can supply answers.
