This week's construction update.
I noticed that the construction materials between this mid-rise and the Houston Methodist skyscraper are totally different. This building seems so small in comparison.

The former S&B Engineers office building complex has been demolished. I saw all the site materials and construction vehicles into a corner. Does that mean they are leaving the concrete pad foundation as-is?
A photo I took of the concrete pad and a few steps. The only remnants remaining!

I'm glad to see retail leasing some of the ground floor. Definitely a prime spot a long Westheimer.
Construction progress that I noticed today.

I noticed the cool architecture of the new building is blocked at street level by trees planted a long Westheimer. Very cool building design. Wish you could see it better while driving down Westheimer.
I really like the "digital camouflage" on top of the classic brick. Mixes the elegance, with something exciting on top.
Picture I took today.

Today I stopped by to take a photo of the vacant Pink Berry yogurt shop.
The flower store next door is moving out of their space. Let's combine these two parcels and build something tall!

I stopped by the site today to take photos of the Moving Sale banner. The flower store appears to sit on a large-ish parcel. It looks really deep with extra parking and storage in the back.
I know the next door frozen yogurt place just went out of business. The small retail center has a single tenant remaining. If there was a way to combine both of these parcels, you would likely see a multifamily complex here. Or a condominium.
On topic/off topic. I noticed these flower arrangements today at CM. Spectacular!

I stopped by the Wells Fargo Bank to take a photo of the building today.
Notice the skyscraper in the background!

I remember years ago, this bank on the corner of Westheimer and Willowick was a different bank. Either the bank merged, or the property was leased to a different bank.
Here's a photo of the bank that I took today:

Has anyone ever bought a rug from the Sabbagh Oriental Rug Gallery? I'm sure they're very nice. The company has been in business, at this location, for more than a decade.
Do they have two locations down the block from each other? Isn't there a rug (cleaning) store over near Randall Davis' proposed condo? Or maybe it's the vacuum store just cleaning the rugs.
Photo of the retail building that I took today.

I've driven past here a thousand times. Has anyone ever been inside the AREA Houston Antiques & Furniture?

Sorry, no pictures, but has there been any interest into redeveloping this property?
Public Storage is building a tall complex down the street at 3703 Westheimer. Will they really keep both parcels? I would assume they would sell their old building and move to the newly built space.
This is hot real estate to watch.

Moving Sale! Has anyone seen the announcement on the banner?
What will happen with this space once they move? It’s a very prominent corner!

Hines updated their website to feature actual photographs of the building. I'm glad they switched from renderings to photographs. Fingers crossed for Phase 2 breaking ground soon!
By the way, the building looks fantastic!

The LAZ Parking Horizon Garage parking rates have been posted. Honestly, not that bad. Give or take what other TMC hospitals charge.
