Jeebus, Contrary to what you may think, the residents of the neighborhood are not whiney NIMBY's. That section of Bunker Hill dead ends into Long Point which makes it a road to nowhere. I already commute through the neighborhood just fine everyday without it being 4 lanes. I believe the residents didn't care for the back door dealings with Metro National and the TIRZ or the ultra cozy partnership between the city and the TIRZ to build sections of the road that are NOT in the TIRZ's boundaries. Furthermore, it was a shame that land donated by the Look family (who had a farm there) was being decimated, along with Look Road, 100 year old water oaks and migratory bird habitats along the bayou. The City also fails to fall out of love with too large lanes that encourage speeders by the elementary school. Please drive down Pech Road and tell me if that is a wise use of our tax dollars. Puleeease.
