  4. What is more fun than a BCO Meet& Greet? Well, really nothing, except maybe a BCO Meet& Greet on Earth Day at the totally cool Last Concert Cafe. Ifyou haven't been before, you need to know several things: 1. It's in the Warehouse District on the northsideof Houston - which means it's in a really interesting area with art lofts,movie studios and only street parking so you may be parking and walking (callit the exercise for the day) 2. Look for the Red Door, there isn't a sign andquite frequently the door is locked and you have to knock to get in (really) 3. 2 BCO couples celebrated their weddingshere in 09 since they both met at BCO mixers (yep) 4. There is usually a band starting at 9:00 so planon sticking around (always a local band) 5. Food is true TexMex so grab a bite when you getthere (or after a couple of margaritas) 6. Kayaking Lessons at Lake Woodlandswith Olympian Ben Kvanli Lake Woodlands 8:45 AM- 3:00 PM BCO has been doing lots of kayaking lately, and ifyou want to get in on the action, you should take this course with Ben at Lake Woodlands.He will show you the basics of kayaking, including gear, boats, andhandling. After lunch you can work on strokes, rolling and advancedmoves. The cost of the day includes instructor, boatrental, life vests, and helmets. We need a minimum of 8 people for this event tohappen and we can only accommodate 12 people maximum, so make sure and RSVP assoon as possible! The cost for thisevent is $85.00 for members and $120.00 for non members. Don't forget to bring water, snacks or lunch andsunscreen! Bring your backpack to carry what youpurchase, and let's shop the markets on our bikes! We meet for coffee and thentake an easy tour of 3 to 5 markets around the city. We use side streets, trails and residentialroads for this approximately 12 - 15 mile, 3 hour ride including generous stops.   13. Hiking is great exercise, and you don’t have to drive outside of the cityto find great trails. There are flat trails, hills, woods and water on thishike along a section of Houston’sBuffalo Bayou. We will maintain an easy to moderate pace, with snack &water stops (bring your own), bat viewing and art & sculpture viewing. We meet at Cleveland Park on the north side ofMemorial Dr.,there is a foot-walkway over Memorial here. The hike will start here and then we head towards downtown on the northside of the bayou. There should be parking along the park and street forfree.
