  1. I'm glad to see this coming to Houston, but Starwood needs to branch out with their Houston locations some. They already have four hotels in Uptown (two Westins, Sheraton Suites, St. Regis) and not a single location in Downtown Houston or the Texas Medical Center. They're obviously not doing this in the Dallas area, where they are building five of these, all in key business areas, including Downtown Dallas.

My biggest gripe about Starwood, as a frequent business traveler, has always been their lack of coverage in many locations.

Why Cant Houston get a damn W Hotel!!!! Its #4 in America an no W! but on the flipside Miami an Vegas just got theirs this year an those are very fashionable vacation spots, but that is besides the point I guess aloft is striped down W hopefully it does well an we get a W!

  2. Miss Sixty and Energie are opening , soo happy to know this because I like Energie jeans. I'm still waitting on a Diesel and Original Penguin store !! if I were in charge I would get rid of most tendants in Galleria III and open worth shopping at stores . A Macys has to go its pointless having two, we need Bloomingdale's or a full Barney's.

We are Getting Energie And Miss Sixty In Houston i know the one in Dallas is opening soon where are they in the Galleria? Is the sign up yet?

I want Sisley,D&G,Cavalli to open in the Galleria

It was rumored H&M were coming here I dont know if that is true

  3. Thank you for the extensive info, especially on schools, even if I don't have kids. I would like to know an important thing (at least for me): are the women in Houston beautifull. Being from Europe and traveling allover the world (including some US cities) I have lived with the prejudice, wich I realy hope is wrong, that girls in US are not very pritty and moreover overweight (McDonald's type) - exept from the immigrants and descendents from Latin America. Please don't hate me to much and correct me if I'm wrong.

Mephisto I'll Give a Real Rundown:

As you being European I advise staying in the city it will probably fit your taste more. If your single they may help narrow your search more.

River Oaks-Very Expensive,Exclusive,Prestigous,The Beverly Hills of Houston.

Also like suggested Houston is very unpredictable. But the Central is the nicest (West Loop) All of the nice areas run together: RiverOaks,Memorial,Galleria/Uptown an to the South West University & Rice Village Area. You would probably like these areas the most, very nice new/an older homes & townhomes in meditterian stucco styles. I live in the Galleria Area an love it very nice, very safe, Ultra Convient I often walk to the grocery store at 1am for ice cream. A lot of European ppl live in this area its a very chic an international area from American to Persian its a great mix of ppl from all over the world. Plus to mention the 24hr starbucks is always packed. West Loop area is full of nice resturants an nightclubs ,Galleria (only mall you will ever need)plus Very convient to downtown 15mins max (non rush hour ,30mins during rush hour) Also I suggest looking at the Condos on Post Oak (Uptowns Main Artiery)

As for the Women Beautiful Latin, black, white, asian, european, russian, perisan whatever your choice (I love em all :D ) They are all over the place especially at night!! The international appeal offers a wide choice of good looking women.

An for suburbs I personally wouldnt suggest Woodlands since you dont have kids I would say Sugarland or Katy which are very nice an more convient to central houston.

  4. I'm hoping that the Borders will be accessible from the outside and will go far to alleviating the "bunker" look of the Galleria. A nice multi-story glass facade will give the Galleria a lot of curb appeal from Westheimer. I like the renovation of the inside, but I'm hoping that something can be done to the exterior. That intersection is extremely important.

Well its your luck there is lots an lots of glass when you go to that end an see the artistic rendering the whole damn wall facing westhimer is glass

  5. Did you used to shop at Dolce & Gabbana?

I didnt live here when the DolceGabbana used to be here I like their clothes they are my favorite label so I buy their stuff either from local boutiques, saks,or other DG stores. and since we had the first in america it be nice to have one again Dolce&Gabbana or a D&G. Whats the big deal if I want one in Houston?
