1. You might want to edit the title. The show is actually July not June, I clicked on your link and confirmed it.
2. Rumor from the inside is that the only thing that will change will be the General Growth name. The Bridgeland Development team and master plan will remain the same.
3. Major mall owner says it faces solvency trouble

By PURVA PATEL and NANCY SARNOFF Copyright 2008 Houston Chronicle Nov. 12, 2008, 7:48PM /**/A potential bankruptcy of General Growth Properties should mean business as usual for the Chicago company's local properties, experts said. But for Bridgeland, its newest master-planned community in the area, the future appears more uncertain. The real estate investment trust owns, in whole or in part, Baybrook Mall, Deerbrook Mall, First Colony Mall, the Woodlands Mall and Willowbrook Mall. It also owns just over half of The Woodlands. General Growth announced Tuesday it was facing huge debt payments in December and 2009 that could force it to seek bankruptcy protection. Peter Houghton, Bridgeland's vice president of sales, said though the project is getting close to standing on its own, it still depends on expenditures from its parent company to complete certain ongoing projects.
4. It's on Hempstead right before Huffmeister. They are open on weekends only. Looks like a small place, I have not stopped in.
5. Cy-Fair VFD's newest Station, Station 12, went in service recently. They are having an open house this Saturday, July 26th, from 10-4. The station is on Keith Harrow between Fry Rd and Greenhouse. The public is invited to come tour the station and see several different types of fire trucks (engine, ladder, tanker, rescue, ambulance). It's a good chance to check out the inside of a fire station.
6. There was a sign about a church coming soon before construction started and HCAD shows it's owned by: PROTESTANT EPISCOPAL CHURCH COUNCIL OF THE DIOCESE OF TX 1225 TEXAS ST HOUSTON TX 77002-3504 But I agree it does look like an apt building.
7. Well, I did notice one going on in the HEB Center at 290 and BC facing Barker-Cypress...
8. From the Newquest company newletter for Spring 2008: Cypress Station Village: Signed tenants include Stewart Title, Heritage Texas Properties, a dental office, Schlotzsky's and The Cajun Family Restaurant and Tuscan Sun Coffee. The Greystar apartment (273 units) development will lend a high-end, urban atmosphere to the Center, while providing an aroundthe- clock client base.
9. I know we've talked about this before but I could not find the thread. The new Steak N shake opened on Monday at 1960 and Eldridge in front of the Target. Thought I would give them a day or two so we went today for lunch. No wait at 11:30 and the staff was everywhere. They have trainers and managers in from out of state helping to open and get the wait staff up to speed. Our waitress was a bit over eager but hey I'll take too much attention over not enough! The burger was great! The shake was even better! I highly suggest if you eat there make sure to get a shake. I had this side by side shake where they put two flavors in one glass half and half. Never mind it tasted great, I'm still trying to figure out the physics of getting two liquids side by side. Anyway I love this place from eating on vacation and I was not disappointed by the new place! They also have lots of old pictures of original stores in there and the uniforms are old 40's style, very down home feel.
10. For all you Arby's lovers! The new store opens July 3rd at 10am according to the sign out front today.
11. Well, I think it's great she posted, after all we would have never known about the clown and monkey. That for one would draw me to a restrauant regardless of the food quality. However, she might have taken a minute to notice there was already a Cypress Station Grill thread. Anyway, for all you in-towners who say we out in the Burbs have no atomsphere in our restrauants, try and beat the clown and monkey! Gotta go, heading the Cypress Station Grill.....I want to see if the monkey can dance.
12. There was an article in the 1960 Sun late last year saying that the trailer park project had been scrapped. The sign is gone. No clue as to the future of it.
13. Try Harris County Smokehouse (Hwy 6 and Hwy 290), they serve a pretty good breakfast.
14. Yeah, it's back on. I'm not sure it's still Broadstone but they are putting apartments in. I think it takes up most of that area. I'll see if I can find the information again.
15. There are apartments going in, I think that's what they are building right now.
16. They finally opened today after what seemed like a year to build. We had dinner there and it was pretty good. Good service and good food. We will be going back, it's nice to have a small family owned restrauant around. I found their web site address on their menu: http://www.cypressstationgrill.com/ It has their menu and pictures. for those not familiar with the place it is on Hempstead hwy and Spring-Cypress, behind Lowes
17. We built with one of their other companies in Cypress Mill Estates in 99, Legacy Homes. Last year we build a Meritage Home in The Shores mainly because we were so happy with the first house but out grew it when we added two kids. We did have a few problems but they worked hard to fix them and address any complaints we had. We have only had a couple of warranty issues and they have responded quickly to fix them. I do know our neighbors built a Meritage also and they are unhappy about their drainage in the back yard but otherwise I believe they are satisfied also. For us it came down to the price, there are only a couple of builders in that price range and we felt for the price they had the best to offer. Hope this helps.
18. The new Arby's is going in right next to Firestone and in front of Lowes on the south side of 290 just before Spring-Cypress. They have the building framed and a sign in front of it. I'm counting the days!
19. I think it's at 290 and 362. There was an article in the Waller newspaper a month or so back about the city of Waller giving them tax credits for the new location.
20. Which corner is it going in at? I thought maybe since they are building one in Waller they were not going to build this one.
