"THE VACANT 2-story building at 2107 Milam St. in Midtown, which long ago was home to a President Health Club — but is likely better remembered as ablank-faced, boarded-up building with a for-sale sign on its corner — is beingsmashed to bits this morning. A reader sends in this view of the scene at Milam and West Gray St. taken from the Metro HQ building at 1900 Main St. The 14,975-sq.-ft. soon-to-be empty lot is next door to Central Square Plaza (at left in the photo), which is currently undergoing renovations. County records show a company called Hobby Place LLC purchased the smaller property in April."

Houston-based Cheniere Energy Inc. (NYSE: LNG) is roughly doubling its downtown office space in the Pennzoil Place towers at 711 Louisiana St. to deal with its rapid growth.

Cheniere, which is leading the nation in plans to export liquefied natural gas overseas, is expanding and relocating to eight floors from four-and-a-half floors now and will occupy 167,446 square feet. Cheniere will move higher in the building and plans to make the move during August and September, said Katie Pipkin, Cheniere’s senior vice president for business development and communications.

  3. From what I heard, this will be another skyhouse, similar in design and height. It supposedly will start somewhat soon. Please take this with a grain of salt, not confirmed, but sounds promising... I know lockmat said he thought the next skyhouse was years out, not sure what to make of that and the info I just got.
