I lived at the Penguin Arms in 1988 in one of the upstairs apartments. Although, it made for good party conversation to brag that I lived there, it had a lot of major faults. The mold smell on the carpeting in the hallway was enough to make me hold my breath as I walked in. I had to disconnect my oven because of the gas leak. The clincher was when the landlord used to let himself in while I was at work to go through my things. Not to mention the people who would stand on the lawn taking pictures of the place while I was walking around in my nightgown. It was fun for a couple of years when i was a lot younger. Shame that they have let the place go to such decay.
