Has anyone noticed the price increase in this area? What is going on over there?

My boyfriend and I (particularly him) love Barnaby's... particularly the original one on Fairview in the gayborhood. They have great food with big portions.

Stopped going to that one. My party always has to wait a little longer to be served . It has happened more than 3 times. After the manager says something to the waitors (always waitors) they seem to get there act together & want to give quality service. Hobbit Cafe has much better service. Besides now that I have discovered District 7 sandwiches I don't need Barnaby's.

Oh but my new favorite is the Breakfast Klub http://www.thebreakfastklub.com/.

I am a District 7 Fan as well. Unfortunately, they changed managements a few months ago & some things have REALLy changed (i.e. homemade soups & personable service). I still go though. I miss the guy who made the soups.

My sister lives in that general area and I have never known her to experience flooding. I wish I knew her subdivision's name but it zoned to Westbury, but closer to S. Main and ... dammit, what is that street... (she's off of Ashcroft)

I have talked to a few people in the Westbury area & they have stated they have not flooded (some who sit on the bayou as well. However, Harris County & FEMA has them lying smack dab in the middle of a floodway. Trying to get answers out of there civic organziations, but not finding to much help from the people there.

Well if there is any petition I need to sign to get things moved I will be the first to sign. It's such a shame to have a neighborhood in such a GREAT location be wasted on useless & non abiding businesses.

Do they have any plans to revitalize the S.Post Oak/Chimney Rock area? It seems like it is in such an in between state.

Where are they in the process? Is this more of a beautification project or to TRULY alleviate flooding in those areas?

Just FYI I did go to the TARPS website when I called to speak to them they stated that gims public website is more accurate (& what the city uses) to determine flood zone areas. There was a bit of discrepency between the two.

Yes, but I find it cumbersome and they don't remove "closed on" properties or give status. I am rather hooked on Har.com's "new listing" option. In today's market where things sell in hours, it is very accurate and they seem to post them as soon has they go in the MLS.

I agree - sometimes houses that have been sold for weeks will continue to sit there. I am having a meltdown without HAR as well. Hopefully they will get it up before the weekend searches start.

Anyone know the resale value of a home in this area that backs up to Brays Bayou? Ever hear of any major flooding in this area? Do homeowners over there have a hard time resaling with profit especially those along the bayou corridor?

Also, what is the avearge market time for these homes? Should one be concerned if a home has been sitting to long in this area?
