Now whats the deal with the dump next door? It looks very interesting from a distance but you can't even get inside its so crammed with yep, junk and thats weird coming from me becasue I love salvage places. A person can only walk in about 10 feet and thats it. Cat's yes humans nope. Too bad because some of the interesting items are buried beneath tons of stuff.

That lot of junk has been there for as long as I can remember... and I know they are 'open' on the weekends so you can buy giant old junk I wanted to go in there when I was younger, but my mom always said no because she did not want me crushed by junk

I would like the old theatre to go back to being a theater

I know reverting it to a movie theatre prolly wouldn't be a profitable move, even if it was a unique like the RO or a quirky concept like alamo drafthouse...

I know for a fact they are packed just about every night. You have to get there early to get one of the good couches in the gym. The Draft house is a little tooo posh for me, I like my couches and cheap beer.

I hate to say it, but this is the one area that PDX has bested H-town. Well that and Beavers baseball.

I did not mean to offend, just keep in mind when I first moved out there in 1983, there was absolutely nothing except a Safeway on the south side of 10 and a Gerlands on Mason. So when I read through this I thought my friend who bought a house in the area was kinda nuts.

Help me out here . . . I graduated from Mayde Creek a long time ago (1990) and it was full of snotty rich kids but no gangs, or drugs. I just think it was too small and new at the time. Has it gone really downhill ? I have not been in that area for some time, but a friend of mine bought a house in that area and says it is okay. I know the neighborhood I grew up in ( Westlake Village on Fry Road 1983-1992) is now not very desireable at all. I had a family member refer to it as hood-like.

I ask becasue I am moving back home to H-town after I finish with grad school (OHSU RULEZ ! ! ! ! ) up here in PDX, and I think my family is biased to having me move near them (either Memorial or Pearland) and I do not think I want to do that

I truly thought Kettle Chips were the "end all, be all" of chips. But I recently discovered Cape Cod Brand's new Sharp Cheddar and Sour Cream flavor. ! AYE CARAMBA ! I think they have black tar heroin mixed in them or something because they are most addictive !

You need to try the Spicy Thai . . . those are the best ones Kettle makes.
