I went in yesterday and it was a madhouse. I ended up parking behing the store because there weren't any available parking spots upon my initial inspection and there were so many cars queuing up to find spots in front of the store. Once I made it in, I absolutely love this store. It's a very open concept compared to the Central Market off Westheimer and the HEB in Miss. City. Very large, wide aisles, which with the mass of humanity in that store was very accomodating. Furniture and home section are smaller versions of what you'd find in a Wal-Mart SuperCenter with pretty nice prices. Fruit section was just like the HEB in MC, fish section was huge. They do have the homemade tortillas like CM, to go along with the very nice bakery section. Entertainment section in the back right corner had off-brand HDTV's, movies, music, and video games. There was also a $1 a day DVD rental machine. Once I made my back to the front of the store, I checked out the nicely done magazine/book section. At the checkout area, every single lane was open, and every single lane had AT LEAST 5 people in line. It's a good thing I wasn't there to purchase anything, it looked like a 15 minute wait to get in. I'll take the family sometime this weekend, hopefully the craziness will have subsided by then!
