  1. I would say it's about 8'-9'. The main reason for my concern is that it's now April, and no sign of any leaves. Plus the builder said the tree was more than likely dead since the trunk is cracked and some of the branches break off easily, albeit they are thin.
  2. I closed on my new home last June, and the house comes with a one-year warranty. Back in October, I noticed that all the leaves were gone, and I asked the builder about it. I thought it might be transplant shock, but the guy said it's probably dead. Now, here's the thing...he said they said the warranty doesn't cover the tree. I always made sure to keep the lawn watered, but even if the tree was even a little underwatered, I don't understand how a tree can die so suddenly. What can I do? None of the other homes on my street seem to have this problem, and they are new homes too (some of them are David Weekley.) My builder is Pioneer Homes, by the way.
  3. I used to stay close to that first NT entrance (Ellis Creek Blvd.) The train would literally make the house shake a bit. The train horns at night have been a problem for years and years, and I doubt it will go away before the community is annexed by SL, if that ever happens.
  4. Oh yeah, that's right. Silly me.
  5. Why do you say that? There are a couple of neighborhoods that are very established, like Teal Run. That neighborhood has been around for at least 10 years, and it's been expanding lately. Also, Rodeo Palms seems decent (which I believe is in Fresno, not Pearland.)
  6. I've been looking into moving in that area, as I am a first-time home buyer. I like Pearland, but it's a little too pricey for me, and I'm looking for a one-story home since I'm single. I'm familiar with the SW side of town, so that's what I'd prefer. I'm looking at Fresno since it doesn't seem to offer too ridiculous of a commute time, and I work downtown. Any thoughts or opinions?
