Who cares to started this topic? Thank you for sharing a nice mod home. A mod lover viewing this site may buy it and help save a neighborhood. Isn't that what's important?

I'm dying to know as well. I want to own it.
"House of the Century" project designed and built by Richard Jost and Ant Farm, completed in 1972 near Angleton, Texas.
Go to: You Tube, "Mojo Relic" for a video on this home.

"No, I disagree with these two. I want you to post everything you've got and go into as much detail as you feel comfortable doing. It will help people in the future who want to do what you're doing."
If people know everything there is to know, what will be the fun of figuring it out for themselves? Secondly, it will turn people off when they find out how much time, money and effort it takes.

Suckas! I have a modern home and a yard that needs some work. Any volunteers? If I knew it'd be that easy, I'd have a pool in my backyard too. *sigh*

I think the people who did the remodel ended up moving into the home.
As for the home across the street from this home (the one with the roof half on), this home has been under remodel for ages. There should be a seperate post just for that home- I dunno what's going on, but the lack of progress is troubling. An old man has been working by himself on it for the last 2 years, that I know of. Crazy, it even went through Ike with only half the roof on. I can only imagine what the inside looks and smells like.

curious, Are you the Formica Rep or is Cathy Camp? Formica rules, and have noticed on repeated posts, your famous formica photo......

Known as Memorial Bend for 50 years, 2008 the "new modern" becomes Mammoth Bend
Check out this home going for 1,399,000 on 12802 Tosca. Listed as a Single Family dwelling, I believe you could fit a small village in this Monstrosity.

"Conveniently on fire" sounds very slanderous to me. Again, I would like to address the issue of mean spirited posts. All facts should be investigated before implying ill will. Convenient would be having the house burn to the ground in October 2006 before all attempts to restore and save a mid century modern home had been made, build a mansion using insurance money "if any could have been collected in the first place" and sell the joint- take your money and run. Restoring a 1956 home from top to bottom takes money for sure. KatieDidIt occur to you that perhaps all the financing was secured through Sterling Bank (I see the sign out front) before the renovations began in July? Or did you perhaps, have a rush of bad judgement making this post?

everyone has a reason for the choices they make. Idiot is a harsh term to use without knowing all the facts.

I could like it, but's what's up with that kitchen? Is that the kitchen? Looks more like a bar. It needs major work, poor house.
