  1. Haven't lived in Houston long - eh? It's a well known chain around town. REALLY GOOD FOOD - great addition to Katy.
  2. As posted in the HOUSTON BUSINESS JOURNAL. http://houston.bizjournals.com/houston/sto...tml?jst=b_ln_hl Topping the list for Houston was The Woodlands, which was ranked as the nation's third-best-selling community, with 1,409 sales in 2006, moving up from sixth place in 2005. The top-selling community in the nation was Avatar Properties Inc.'s Poinciana in Central Florida. West Houston's Cinco Ranch, developed by Newland Communities, moved into fourth place in 2006, up from 18th place in 2005, with 943 new-home sales, while a newcomer to the list, Eagle Springs, a northeast Houston development, also by Newland Communities, ranked 10th, with 509 new-home sales in 2006.
  3. Second Baptist has phenominal childrens programs. You should try it.
  4. I agree - this is just a reflection of the division of I-10 North and South conintuing West. Looking at the Memorial City Mall area, Memorial has been able to maintain it's value even with the direct North side of I-10 being, for the most part, "ghetto". What is worisome to me is the building of lower income homes on the South side.
  5. I understand the culture you are referencing....I grew up in Kingwood and the attitude was definetly opposed to anyone not living in "Kingwood" THE neighborhood. Surrounding neighborhoods were frowned upon. I expected to experience that in Katy, that is why I chose to live in Cinco Ranch. Surprisingly now that I have been out here for a couple years, I've noticed that is not the attitude at all. I suppose because all neighborhoods mentioned above have really nice homes and amenities, it just doesn't seem to make a difference.
  6. My son is a football player @ Seven Lakes. He and his teammates were at practice and heard the gun shots. Current news says a note was found at the scene. The football team was taken to the locker room until the lock down was lifted. The trainers went over and tried using the AED and CPR. My son's description of him included that he didn't have many friends. VERY SAD
