Wow, that would be cool if they did build both right away, they must be expecting them to do quite well huh?

I saw them on my way to the Texans game on Sunday. It looked like they were topped out or almost topped out, can't quit remember.

Houston is the slowest damn city. Hell, look at San Antonio and Dallas, even Austin building alot of projects left and right. What Houston building? Strip centers here and there. Houston is 4th largest city, and acting like it's 50th.

So, don't tell me use a little intelligence replying to the thread. Houston have a hard time building more light rail, while Dallas already building more in their metros.

Hard time for people to cater to downtown houston. Why? cause bad parking, not enough entertainment. Hell, Austin got more entertainment in their downtown then us. Get real dude! Are you blind? This a slow ass city we're in. They trying their best to uplift downtown, but people still won't cater. People rather go to the Woodlands, Sugarland, Galveston, Kemah, Katy, etc. then go to downtown.

Downtown comes alive when something like Astros playing, going to the playoffs, maybe the World Series. The Rockets playing, and maybe those sorry ass Texans do something. You can not go downtown on a weekend and see alot of people. Right now you can , cause the Astros on the edge going to the World Series.

Well then, get some money and build some nice stuff downtown willy nilly.

Yes, I went to the Texans game today, it was a big shame and quite a waste of money, I would have much rather of been at the Astros game with my Brother.

It's pretty bad that people get more excited seeing the Astros score at the game on the TV then the Texans. They even cheered for the Astros at the game. We left though in the third quarter along with a lot of people, I felt quite bad for the Texans.

Carr get's way too many sacs, its time we trade some players IMO.

I think it would be cool in Galveston too. it would most certainly jump start the economic condition there (as if it's not already going strong.)

And I love Six Flags Fiesta Texas, like citykid, after I first visited Fiesta I never viewed Astroworld the same again.

Is it true that in the Astrodomes early days there was a hotel there?

When I was younger, I liked the car ride, even though now it would probably be boring just riding around the track, but when we went that used to be the highlight of my day.

I agree that it is pretty bad that we won't have an amusement park for a while, but hopefully that will change soon if someone else decides to build one. We can only hope.

I remember when I was little and my dad talked me into riding Grease Lightning (the one that shoots off the ramp and goes in a loop and finally goes straight up and then comes back backwards.) That ride scared the crap out of me and I wanted to get off of it right away, but my restraint was stuck and I thought I was about to go up it again.

Last time I ever rode that thing.

Talks for Houston or Texas in general? Because if any city in Texas gets a new theme park, especially a Disney theme park, everyone knows it'll go to ... Midland.

Well I've heard a couple of locations, but I have heard only in the Houston area, so it could be anywhere. But the locations I have heard are in Sealy and in Katy.

It is quite a shame that his happened, but could anyone say that they didn't see it coming?

And I don't know if this is just coincidence or not, but the Disney theme park talks have started up again, so who knows.

I dunno you tell me. I belive it is because why would they show it on tv and Papercity if they weren't 100% sure it wasn't gonna be built. I bet Orion and Shamrock will get built sooner or later.......

Just because you see an advertisement for something doesn't mean it will happen. Any factor can change something, they run out of money, too many complaints, etc.

And Semipro, the more people around downtown, usually the less amount of rodents like that you see. So you should go to downtown not away!

While it sucks that the residential highrise won't go up, i would much rather have a parking garage be built than a parking lot.
