Berryhill's not in a dry area, you're right... but it's only a block or two outside the old Houston Heights townsite. Basically, the old town of Houston Heights went from Washington Ave. to about 25th, and from about Nicholson to Oxford. Shiloh's is a couple blocks east, since it's on Studewood, so they can serve alcohol. But try to buy it at the little store next to Pizza Hut at 14th and Heights and see how much luck you'll have!
