ExxonMobil has a number of buildings on Buffalo Speedway, and I think none of them are marked with signs. Most are near Richmond.

I'm fine with your spirituality just as long as you understand that you have no right to force it down everyone's throats.
I think the bonfire tradition is silly, but I believe in personal liberty so I won't oppose anyone's right to do it. You cannot always protect people from themselves. However, I do think the school should not have anything to do with this, nor should they allow it on school property. It's a liability issue, and I believe they just payed a sum of money to the dead students' families.

The United States will be known as the People's Republic of Bushistan.

I like New York International Airport - as it was first called - but it was renamed shortly after his death. We should at least wait until the person's life is over before we name something in their honor. What if Bush Sr. decided to reveal that he is, in fact, Osama bin Laden? Boy would we have egg on our face.
Besides, wasn't it Lanier who changed the name just before he departed?
(Also, I realize that Sam Houston was still alive when this city was founded. I wonder how the people here felt when he opposed secession.)

I wish they would stop with the town squares. These places look like movie sets, not walkable urban cities.

Intercontinental is a horribly designed airport anyway. I still prefer that all major regional airports bear the names of the major cities that anchor the regions. DFW will probably be renamed after GWB. JMO.

The city should crack down on all the trucks cutting through the city. We have all of these loops for them to use.

So are the offshore platforms.

That attitude is what's making Houston an architecturally backward city.

He makes some interesting points, but like many people, he comes from a viewpoint that his city (Los Angeles) is the of what a city should be. I don't see Los Angeles as a mature, self-aware city like he does. It's grown, but its fractured - and this had led to some secession movements within parts of it. And our commutes aren't as bad as theirs, however our population is only a fraction of that city's.

We love Whataburger in Houston. Have you not seen our big one downtown?

Will it become some sort of water retention area in the event of another Allison?

Blockbuster makes the studios release "family-friendly" cuts of the films, so Netflix is the most reliable way to make sure you actually are watching the film you rented.

There's some neat stuff at Cost Plus, but its not really like the Central Market.

It was kind of funny when the power went out at Reliant Stadium. The stadium is named after the power company, after all.

They should resurrect the Houston-Galveston Inturban railway. Galveston's growth just won't happen without Houston.

It should be an equestrian park. No vagrant is going to want to sleep on horse poo.

Bye bye Taco Milagro?

Why don't they just raise tolls, like they did to those of us who use the Sam Houston Tollway? Or would the developers in Ft. Bend County not approve?
