I ate at Biggio's before the Rockets NYE game last night. The lobby of the hotel looks great and so does the restaurant. The food was good (veggie burger, bacon cheeseburger, chips and queso). Large drink menu with plenty of local craft beers and reasonably priced. The service was about what you would expect from a place that has been open less than a week but I will go back to watch a game at the bar or on one of the giant screens. They also have semi-private seating areas upstairs that over look Discovery Green that you can reserve with a food/drink minimum for your party of 5-10.

I am in the group of people who never knew nor saw that these lit up. Granted, I was young and was never around this area when these bridges were first built. It would look nice to see them lit up though.
They used to look pretty neat and made it interesting driving through the area until they started burning out and were never replaced. I always thought it would be more interesting if the bridges were painted different colors instead.

Stumbled down Main Street bar hopping with an out of town wedding party after midnight last night. Everyone stopped to take pictures of the Renner sculpture and thought it was neat. The Color Jam seems weird and out of place whey you happen upon it and do not see it from above. No one was interested in the Hopkins posters and we barley noticed the couple of other installations.

I ate at Burger Theory before the art car parade this weekend. Really good build your own burger options and quite a large drink menu as well. Burger was good for the price but the draft beers were ranging between 6-8.50 but I would say the prices were about what to expect for a hotel downtown.

Driving around every day, (I drive for a living.) I hardly ever see a full city route bus. They just don't happen. Yes, the P&R buses get utilized, (somewhat) but that's a different kettle of fish.
Not too sure about this. Routes 41 and 76 are SRO on the way to and home from work every day.

Working on my 3rd Saucer downtown so I go there quite a bit after work.
I like 8th Wonder since it's in the neighborhood and fun to go to before Coogs games.
When in Sugar Land I have been enjoying Ginger Mule lately for their craft cocktails.
When at work in Austin I like the Draught House and Moontower Saloon.
I prefer IPA's and like to try anything local on tap when traveling for work.
My favorite IPA is Stash by Independence Brewing Co.

That locomotive and the two houses have been in that area since long before the museum was announced. They moved them more recently (a few years ago maybe?), but they've been within a block or so of there for close to a decade, if I remember right. So I don't think those will necessarily be taken away.
Is this the land that Metro used for the park and ride during the first 2-3 years that the ballpark was open, I cannot recall? After that closed, I think the city spent a weekend laying down temporary track to move the train from Herman Park to a nearby lot and then to this one a couple of years ago?

Thank you. I should have specified. I meant the one on the corner of Fountainview and Westheimer. Looks like it opened in 2001 when HEB moved into Houston but for some reason I thought it was open in the late 90's.
