  1. I passed by the Berry Center last night and saw they were having a game driving off of Barker Cypress. It looked pretty occupied to me.
  2. Someone help 290!! Its getting worse! We are thinking of moving down to katy if it starts to become more miserable. At least I-10 is finally being worked on.
  3. They really need to do something with 290. Right after the beltway, it changes to 3 lanes and this is where the jam starts. I wish they would make someking of Westpark alike toll from Cypress to Galleria/Downtown. They are building SOOOO many new homes out here, its going to be a mess. It already is! just a couple of weeks ago, the jam now starts at the exit ramp of Telge!! Frustrating!!
  4. Peter, do you have any visuals of what this project is planned for? Thanks and looks like a great project!!
  5. Doesnt make sense that we have to pay extra propery taxes. Its not a school, but a retail center where the leased vendor pays the rent.
  6. WOW!! Does this mean that the property value of our home in Cypress Rosehill will skyrocket? Im not sure how that works with malls.
  7. Today I went looking around at other new subdivisions and came across another Stucco subdivision. This was in Blackhorse Ranch off of Fry Rd. I snapped some pics for you to enjoy as much as I did. I guess some of us have different taste when it comes to stucco homes. That's okay though.
  8. Well today I am going back to get a more solid price on a home in Sydney Harbour. Love the lakefront view. To me, the back sometimes looks better than the front. I'll be joining another family member who is already living there and his house is actually in the pic above. We've looked at all the other lakefronts and this is by far the best deals I have seen. The Tile roof is just another one of my favorite options.
  9. I dont know if I should even ask what EIFS is. Hope is something positive. Anyhow, thanks for the other areas. Seven Meadows is on the west side, but wouldnt mind jumping on Westpark to get to work. Taxes are the same, but the schools that Cy Fair has brought up wins over the Katy area in my opinion.
  10. I havent seen much Stucco around the NW side of Houston.. but I guess there isnt much around Houston at all like other coastal states. Do any of you know of any new stucco subdivisions in the West/NW area? The only ones I found or know of are: 1. Windsor Park Lakes 2. Copper Lakes 3. Seven Meadows 4. Lakes of Jersey Village
  11. Right now, Sydney Harbour has 3 builders constructing new homes in this waterfront subdivision. Princeton, J. Patrick and CastleRock are in today and they had David Weekley a couple months back. Does anyone know what the new home builders will be in this subdivision? They have tons of land/lots left and I havent seen it sell as fast as the other waterfront areas across Houston. If anyone has any information, please comment. I did look up the High School and the kids would be attending Cypress Woods. They are also calling the North section (Huffmeister), Sydney Harbour Estates.. but havent seen the reasoning why except the brick driveways and 3 car garages vs the other section (Cypress Rosehill entrance). 12. It sure is impressive. If you would rather have a house on the prairie type school, then you are living in the wrong area. for the things cy-fair is doing, i sure am damn proud of it. we pay good taxes too.. why not have something to show for it instead of the treasurers pocketing the money. I hope they keep coming out with great ideas like this one. I've been bragging about our area to everyone and will continue to do so. Cypress is coming up strong!
  13. Hmmmm. good idea.. maybe someone bragged about tagging this area on the internet somewhere. It wasnt just a couple of words/symbols. It was front, back, & side from top to bottom. I did some searching and you can call it in.. here's some more info: "The sooner the better. Graffiti is a time-sensitive crime. Graffiti cleaned up in 24-48 hours results in a nearly zero rate of recurrence. Right now, Eixman says, a 311 graffiti report results in a new paint job one to two weeks later. 14. Sounds like a lot of the 1960 business's will be migrating to this area. i dont see how it could cost more than a place off of 1960. Small business owners will just have to wait for the big names to pop in first so they can get more consumer traffic.
  15. I love the new Berry Center. Glad its in our area.
  16. I was taking the usual drive home on 290 from 8 to hwy 6 and noticed the HOV overpass was spray painted by some youngsters. It looks pretty bad. SIGH.
