  5. This thread is one of the all time greats. It shall live as long as the reservoir holds it mysteries...... or until some developer gets their hands on it and builds strip centers and apartments. Then the thread will move to a urban sprawl forum.
  6. Spotz was a good place, so was the Italian restaurant that was its predecessor at that location. Also, Pizza Planet near the corner of I-10 & Mason. You are really a product of the 80's if you remember that place. Not to mention Rice Belt Restaurant and Electric Lunch in old Katy.
  7. Lots to choose from.... After about a year of looking I am building in Grayson Lakes. Just seems "roomy" out there!!! We chose Meritage as the builder. Good Luck!
  8. This is a great thread and very interesting to read. It would be silly to rule out the mothership landing in Addicks or Barker Res. and picking up the nudists, but odds are there is another explanation. In the early to mid part of the 19th century most of Hwy 6 (on both sides) was farmland. I am sure of it from Westimer (sp) to I-10 as my family farmed it in olden times. On the North side of 10 was the original town of addicks along with more ranches, dairies and farms. It would be hard for a Indian mound to survive coastal plains flooding, farming, ranching etc. Corp of Engineers took it over and the rest is easy history. Wait.... I think I see orbs zooming to Cinco Ranch.... I will go check it out. Good Night all !!!!
  9. Hey Kevin, I'm not 100% sure, but it could be the old LH7 rodeo arena. I have heard it was located in that area. More infor here http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online...s/LL/aplts.html Good Observation!!! B.
