  1. Hello, I'm looking for dental insurance. Our downsizing company dropped our insurance months ago. I was going to find some dental on my own, but kept putting it off. Of course, I had a filling come loose today. I can pay out of pocket, but I'd prefer to get dental insurance, since I've been meaning to do it anyways. Any recommendations? Something I can use fairly soon? Any info/advice would be appreciated.
  2. Hey everyone, Thanks for all the responses! I really didn't expect so much help. I'm going to sit tight and hold my order from Z Gallerie. I've added a number of "favorite links" to my computer now thanks to everyone! I didn't know about half of these furniture stores in the Houston area. Thanks for all the inspiration and thanks for the kind words. I'm very excited to become a new home owner and even more excited to decorate it! Best regards, - Zishan
  3. UPDATE: Well, I did a lot of searching this weekend, and I couldn't get over this sectional from Z Gallerie. So, I bite the bullet and made the purchase. Although I don't make much money, I'm luck enough to have excellent credit. So a -zero- percent interest rate credit card is now going to come in handy! Everything was going smoothly, I was feeling good about the purchase, and then Z Gallerie tells me it will be about 2 months for the sectional. Apparently it's not in stock, and when "Z Gallerie" does get it in, it comes from California, shipped to Atlanta, then to warehouse here in Houston. Then it can be home deliveried or picked up. So, I'm closing in about a week and looking at other options. What's everyone's opinion on: http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Fordo...72/product.html I love the way this sectional looks, but I'm hesitant buying something so large/expensive, online, sight unseen. Overstock says it's high quality, etc, etc, but still, what if it's not comfortable, what if the leather feels cheap, etc. It's a long shot, but anyone have any suggestions for me?
  4. Wow, sorry to hear that. Well, I'd like to check them out, just to see what they have. Delivery isn't really an issue, I'm looking to pick up. Does anyone know where the Fingers Clearence center is? I just called and no one is picking up the phones??? Thanks again, I'm going to try going after work instead of fighting traffic. =)
  5. Wow, lot's of good info! ChicWarehouse? Hmm, I work close to the Height, I'll check it out. Looks like I have a lot of looking around to do this weekend! The only thing I don't like about Target and Walmart......is that I want to see, touch, sit on something before I buy it. I don't feel comfortable ordering something online just by looking at it. Marshall's? Definitely have to check that out! Thanks again, I really really appreciate the advice!
  6. Yes, StoreHouse would be perfect, but from what I've heard, they closed down? I agree, Ikea seems to be more apartment/condo style. Although I do like a lot of there things and the prices are fair. Any other places to look, somewhere between the price/quality/etc of Ikea and Cantoni? Thanks again for your replies...
  7. Hello everyone, I'm about 2 weeks from closing on my new home(first time buyer). I've started furniture shopping, basically from scratch, with the exception of bedroom furniture. I've been a little stumped when it comes to furniture selection. Can someone give me advice as to where to look? I've been to Eurway, Ikea, Danish Inspiration, Star, Dillards, Z Gallerie, and some other small places. I'm on a tight budget, as I have to pay closing costs. So looking for some modern style furniture at a reasonable price.... any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any info, btw, I'm located in West/Southwest Houston.
