    That's also the downtown connector. Two freeways merged into one. I am sure if 59/45 merged like 75/85 are in Atlanta, it would look like that.

    ...And I only hear about Atlanta from CityKid. Do you honestly think Atlanta is thought of as an Alpha city. On the same level as NYC, LA, and Chicago. Atlanta is a third tier Gamma City, and will be like that for some time. Also, San Diego is more widely known than Atlanta. More people know about SD than the big bad ATL.

    That is sad. All those memories I have had there. Oh well, hopefully some mixed-used development goes there. Maybe mid-rise condos and shopping. I wouldn't want a car dealership or Walmart to go there(although the Walmart could be huge considering they don't need parking because they can use Reliant's parking. Then cover the walkway).

    A line needs to go up Buffalo Speedway, from Richmond, and make a left at Westheimer to Highway 6. Would a line down Highway 6/ FM 1960 work?

    The movie looks like crap, but Atlanta is a nice city, but I wouldn't want to live there. Houston, to me, feels more urban than Atlanta. I wish we had hills, though. I hope METRO's plan goes through. for 2025. A mix of subways and light rail will do Houston good. Buckhead feels like an oversized business park. The only think I envy from Atlanta is MARTA. I wish we had a system like that. Anywhay, your trip sounded nice and I am glad you had fun. Edit: I wish the rail down the middle of Katy went through, it would be much like the 400 there. That is why I am glad 288 has a frass median down the middle, should be easy to put rail down it.

    Delta is going bankrupt, and there were some stories saying that Continental might buy them, and move the headquarters here.

    Atlanta does have a lot more traffic there, since about 90 million people pass throught that airport and about 39-40 million pass through Houston's.

    They should extend I-45 into Oklahoma. Isn't US 75 in Dallas already a freeway up to the Texas/Oklahoma border.
