  1. ^^ Hey, Niche. What do you mean about crappy amusement park? If you go to Kemah Broadwalk on weekends it stay packed. Tillman is making a killing in Kemah like you mention "crappy amusement park." This will be a great addition for galveston strand, if the deal get's a go.

And for the gambling permitted here in Texas? That will never happen. They tried that remember? Twice, or three times.

  2. That is not unrealistic, DJ. It depends on the new playbook to allow two runningbacks on the field together. Quite sure the Texans have plans for Bush and Davis to step on the field according what playbook they have instored.

Remember, Bush also can play receiver slot. So, in that case they could have Bush playing slot, and have Davis in the backfield.

  3. So far the Texans signed these free agents...

    1. Fullback - Jameel Cook

    2. Middle linebacker - Sam Cowart

    3. Center - Mike Flanagan

    4. Defensive end - N.D. Kalu

    5. Linebacker - Zeke Moreno

    6. Tight End - Jeb Putzier

    7. Quarterback - Sage Rosenfels

    8. Wide Receiver - Kevin Walter

    9. Defensive end - Anthony Weaver

    10. Guard - David Loverne

    - Wide Receiver - Eric Moulds(agreed to the new contract, but Texans must make a deal with Bufflao for a fourth, or fifth round pick)

    - Wide Receiver - Jermone Pathon(Texans showing interest)

  5. It may be true, but you don't tell an organization about another organization business, you just don't do that crap. When your previous job fire you, and you get interviewed by another job. Are you going to tell them the negtaivtly you went through? No, you try to keep that to yourself, or go around it the best way you can.

Don't let those words come back and bite you on the ass, Gaffney, cause remember Texans do play Eagles this season.

  6. Gaffney was asked what he thought about the Eagles organization.

"It's totally different from Houston," he said. "The couple of times I've come around here, seeing how close-knit they were and the facilities, it's totally different. This is a real organization, and I'm happy to be a part of it."

"It'll make a world of difference," he said. "Carr was thrown in as a rookie and was sacked a bunch of times. He was kind of gun-shy back there, trying to get rid of the ball quickly, and a lot of times that didn't even work. Being here, with a proven Pro Bowl quarterback, a good line and a great offensive system with great players everywhere will make a world of a difference."

"That was real tough," he said. "If you were on the road, a lot of times, before you even got into your routes, you heard the crowd cheering because they got another sack. Or, if we were at home, they (fans) would start to boo. It got frustrating."

"It was real tough," he said. "It was a new experience for me. I had never been on a losing team, never been on an expansion team. I had a lot thrown at me at once, and it's helped me a lot. I know that side and how that feels. I never want to feel like that again."

  7. Well, I have some good news and bad news. Bad news first. Ike Hilliard re-signed with the Bucs, so that still leave the Texans empty on a receiver slot.

Good news. The Texans have signed Jeb Puzier(TE) from Broncos. In addition, former Miami center/guard Seth McKinney (younger brother of guard Steve McKinney), visits the Texans. They're also bringing in New England guard Stephen Neal on Wednesday.

  8. I think the only way the Texans get Mario Williams in the 1st round 2nd pick is to trade one of their good players to New Orleans, or trade there 1st round draft pick, and the Texans ain't doing either.

The Texans will select in the first round (1 st overall), second round (33 rd overall), twice in the third round (65 th and 66 th overall) and once each in the fourth (95 th overall), fifth (129 th overall) and sixth rounds (161 st overall).

Texans will not pick in the seventh round, cause they signed restricted free agent Kevin Walter for an offer sheet from the Bengals. Meaning, the Bengals will take the Texans seventh round pick.

  9. I was reading on NFL.com that Dallas already talking about Super Bowl, and other people they interviewed said the same thing.

DJ, the Texans looking at this week Sam Cowart(MLB) from Vikings, Ike Hilliard(WR) Bucs, Nate Burleson(WR) Vikings, and Jeb Putzier(TE) Broncos. It would be nice if they try to make a deal with Keyshawn Johnson.

The Texans already signed Kevin Walter(WR) Bengals, Jameel Cook(FB) Bucs, Sage Rosenfels(QB) Miami, and Anthony Weaver(DE) Ravens.

  10. i'm excited about the new houston pavilions project that will be opening sometime in 2007/2008. i think downtown could use the economic boost and the developer seems to be a real pro. i'm not convinced downtown needs the office space or the condo units. there seems to be a lot of current supply and little demand.

i worry about bayou place. how will the pavilions project affect this development? will verizon shut down because of house of blues in the pavilions? will everyone go to the new restaurants in the pavilion and forget about bayou place? what about the movie theatre? i hear the pavilions is trying to get a movie theatre. will this force out angelica?

is the theatre crowd and genorous parking enough to keep this development/area viable? are the new buffalo bayou enhancements going to be a big draw of people. how long will the aquarium continue to attract people? will the new office space in bayou place phase 2 bring enough bodies to keep this development healthy?

    Dream

There will not be a movie theater at Houston Pavilions. I already checked on that. But, my opinion is that downtown really do needs a movie theater, cause Angelica only plays indie films.
