Is there any truth to the talk of a new park and water park under the T.C. jester bridge between I-10 and 11th? I have heard the developer is planning on adding on to the existing hike and bike trail and finishing a water park at the old railroad site.

Interesting...I had not heard about TXDOT's plans. It would make sense, at least, for the trail to continue through to TC Jester and connect to the trail at 11th. If it only went that far, that would allow for TXDOT's drainage dreams come true.

Anyone care to weigh in on plans for near the old Astroworld site? There is a smattering of new contruction. The area seems large enough for something close to master planned. Anyone have insight?

What blows my mind is the number of people in this thread who talk about punching the homeless in the face, treating them like animals, etc... Many of these posters are the same ones that like to talk a good "Christian" game in other threads.

Call me crazy, but I doubt Jesus would be sucker punching the homeless when exiting a BW3.

One time I saw Jesus sucker punch a bum after coming out of BW3. the bum was aking for it, though.

Need a little more info. Are you building from scratch? Tearing down an old garage? Finishing out a shell? You can build a shell garage with an empty upstairs, including slab, for around $30,000, give or take a few thou. This will get you a 2 car garage, and an empty room upstairs of roughly 600 square feet. Finish out on the apartment could add $30,000 to $50,000, depending on how nice the finishes are, and how nice the bath and kitchen are. Bath and kitchen will cost the most, followed by AC.

I'm looking to build from scratch. 800-1000 build out for living with a low trim level. I imagine I'll have a hard time finding a contractor to work on something so small.

Any contractor reccomendations or tales of experience?

"Taking Options" may refer to Randall Davis' act of selling his " brand name" I don't think he is actually developing Emerald by the Sea but in fact sold the rights to use the name "a Randall Davis development" to whomever is doing the deal.

As far as this project, i got a boot leg copy of a site plan from a broker in Galveston over the weekend. However, i have no idea how to post or i would....It is already an electronic copy, i just don't know how to put it on the site, no scanning necessary.

If someone wants to explain how to post, please do and i will see if i can accomplish....
