Honestly, I think most a the folks who have such a negative outlook about Westfield high and places between the beltway and FM 1960 are just ignorant about whats going on or just spend to much time listening to "hear-say" and not enough time thinking before they actually speak. I mean whats so bad about a place like Camden Park? Well, they say ignorance is bliss so hey... :closedeyes: Now Im gone get back on topic folks... I recently moved into Cranbrook and on the phone bill my location say "Greenspoint" so I guess that area goes up farther than I thought. Where exactly do it (the boundary) stop? Also, I just say the best name is the same name as the chamber...Northwest Houston. Makes sense...

You may say he is "trolling" but dude speaks the truth... And to be honest I dont really see why that school would be considered dangerous. My cousin that used to live down the street from me recently graduated from cy-ridge and said how much better a school it was than our old school, Smiley. I guess to every man his own...

Hey! I use to stay in Scenic Wood on. I lived on Lakewood Dr. Actually Homestead has quite a few neighborhoods that look "nice" but aint really all that "nice". Rosewood (which dont really look "nice" but it dont look like a slum or anything) is a good example. My aunt still stays over there actually. I remember when we use to go to her house when I was little my mom would always tell us to sit on the floor (Im sure some of you who grew up in "less than perfect" neigborhoods probably remember doing that) so things aint always what they may seem to be. But honestly I think many people look at neighborhoods and base their knowledge off a what they may have heard from a random guy or maybe seen in the newspaper or something. Me and my wife recently bought a house in the Cranbrook subdivision (off rankin rd/ella blvd near greenspoint) and honestly its a very nice place despite me hearing less than stellar things about the area (even on this website). I really dont see whats so bad about it...

What it is everyone! I really need a guiding hand/some feedback on the northewest area of Houston between 1960 and the beltway (specifically around rankin rd/ella blvd area). I have been contemplating a move into the cranbrook subdivision for...a pretty good minute now but I just cant get up to date information on the area. Really (or as my mom would say "Square Business") I just want a nice, safe, and overall positive eviroment for my kids. I want to be able to do something my dad couldn't...raise a family. Neighborhood looks pretty nice if I say so myself and it has nice homes that are within our price range (around $75k-$85k give or take a few) but recommendations are welcome. ANY feedback/knowledge you have on the area will be greatly appreciated. Don't matter what it is, good or bad, just give it to me straight up. Take care and have a blessed day...

Why has the Greenspoint area continued to hold such a "ghetto" stigma over the years. Crime was prevelant at one time but now and days it seems to have improved. The mall seems pretty busy normally and relatively new housing is present and popping up near and around the area. Is it as bad as people are saying or are they just exaggerating?

The houses were quite nice and the neighborhood looked pretty well-kept. An overall improvement over my current neighborhood, Scenic Wood off of Homestead Rd. I grew up over on Homestead and I want my kids to experience a little better living standard then I did in my youth.

I plan on purchasing a house soon in a neighborhood near the intersection of Ella and Rankin. Just need some information about the area. You know: The surroudings, crime/violence, gangs, shopping, etc. Help would be greatly appreciated...
