  1. First, I am not a spammer. I just lurk here mostly. The company I work for his looking for 2 Senior Mechanical Engineers with offshore experience. If you fit this criteria and are interested in more details please contact me via this forum. Thanks.
  2. It must be that way everywhere then. Most neighborhoods are pretty mixed anymore. I would think you would have to get into a neighborhood where nothing costs less than $250k or $300k to see a scenario where an entire block is nothing but white people if you could even see that still. Plenty of "minorities" have money also. I wasn't too concerned about race when scoping out neighborhood before we moved. I just wanted to find a neighborhood with working professional type people. I did, and just about every race is covered on my short street. No issues.
  3. Exactly. Why would somebody who is a minority need to live in a neighborhood with other minorities? Does this cut one way? What would be the reaction if somebody posted up saying they were looking for a neighborhood with as few minorities as possible. You don't mean minority anyway. Just name the race you want to see as neighbors. Minority actual includes all woman as well as various races.
  4. No way you can make it there in 40 minutes from cypress on a weekday morning.
  5. The back roads are just as bad. Don't forget west little york and keith harrow. There is a HUGE difference between 6:30 and 6:00am. To get to the west belt and i-10 at 6:30 am I would estimate at least an hour. Most the time would be spent getting to the beltway. I am maybe 4 miles from the beltway. It takes me 30 minutes to get on it in the morning. I had to go out to the home depot off 290 and spring cypress around 7pm one night this week. That intersection was a nightmare. People were cutting every which way through the parking lots nearby.
  6. I understand the reasons why people like communities like that, but I just couldn't do the 2 hour commute to get inside the loop each morning from out there. Heaven forbid it rains one morning! I don't live that much close to the city, but I also work in the energy corridor. My 35 minutes to get 11 miles at 6:30am is as much as I want to put up with anymore.
  7. I can't imagine what people are thinking when buying a house out there if they will need to use 290 to get to work. I don't think there is a worse commute in Houston these days.
  8. Thanks captain obvious. Will we start having a terrorist forcast with the weather forcast soon? These things just go without saying. You have to live your life without fear regardless.
  9. 1. 1808 sq ft 2. 4 yrs old 3. $155 4. Stream Energy I keep it at 77-78 most of the time when I am home. 76 when I sleep. 80 for about 8 hours during the weekdays.
  10. I think the area is going down hill. I moved about a year ago. There were other factors, but that was a big one.
  11. There was no option for already having HD. I've got it and like it. I'm not willing to pay a monthly fee to miss commercials. I have enough mp3's to listen to to avoid commercials.
