I lived at the City Prison Farm on Mykawa Road in early 50's. My husband was a prison guard. The prisoners worked on the farm, guarded, and were housed and fed at the farm. It was not prison-like to me. It was well-run by a man with a family; Some of the prisoners were assigned to my home there and did cooking, cleaning etc .
