Im looking to get out of Tampa, but want the same kinda weather. Houston seems far enough inland that it wouldnt be as affected by hurricanes,but...

the flooding you got last yr(or the yr b4) seemed pretty bad.

how bad do the hurricanes get? how far inland would it flood?

not really. like i said, when i went to the beaches in miami, there are some gorgeous ladies.

and after all, thats the only reason i go to the beach anyway. if i just want to get a tan, i can do that in the backyard!

if you are a black man, with a white woman, the black women are going to give you and or her a look . houston isn't the only place you'll get that, of course, but you will get it. ESPECIALLY if you are a good looking man or a man who looks like he might make a high six figure income.

as far as other races, no one will really look at you any differently as an interracial couple... but to say no one cares isn't exactly true, either. they just keep mum about it.

I've heard many times that Houstonians are the most friendliest people. I've heard this in both business and personal relationships. It is a great thing to be recognized for, and I totally agree with the statement.

Not that this has anything to do with Dallas or Atlanta, but I recently was in Florida for a couple of weeks, and those people are NOT friendly. Example, when entering Walmart, you have to get your own cart and there is no "welcome to walmart" person at the door. The "May I help you" people on the floor make is very clear they do not want to help. I said to my friend..."We are not in Texas anymore!" Don't get me wrong, I really like Florida, but I would never live there and I can do without the people and the drivers. Sorry for getting off topic.

yup. after nearly ten yrs in Tampa, i can agree with that.

and what did you find the cultural differences to be?

thats the thing, there all so similiar, im trying to look for things to differntiate them from the rest.

my top 4 choices are

Atlanta

Dallas

Houston

DC

now, DC i can easily sperate, but the other 3....

i graduate from college next yr, and im looking to get out of florida.

i am SICK of hurricanes.

looking for a nice big city, not TOO conservative(meaning lots of hot freaky babes), where i can go to law school and then stay in afterwards.

I like the thought of city living, but dont know if any of these cities would really qualify. I know atlanta does in some areas, not sure about the rest....

thats about what ive gotten too.

They all seem to be really similiar(on paper) outside of their geography...
