This ultra-modern redesign by architect Tom Hurt, AIA was recently completed near Houston Country Club in the Tanglewood neighborhood. Portions of the original 1966 modern house remain including the original poured in place terrazzo floors which gleam in the expansive light-filled living space complete with built in seating and a modern fireplace. The master bedroom occupies it`s own wing with spacious dressing and bath areas. A guest room is also downstairs. Upstairs there are two additional bedrooms, a playroom and a secluded study. Every room features great natural light, interesting architectural angles, and sleek modern finishes.

Hurt Partners Architects is an architectural practice in Austin, Texas, headed by principal Tom Hurt, AIA. The firm’s built and ongoing work is known for its well-proportioned and dynamic forms and spaces as well as sensitive relationships to its site. Hurt Partners designs highly sustainable buildings- limiting building size by careful study of clients’ needs and reusing and readapting buildings and building materials where possible. Hurt received his education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

What MCM homes are currently for sale in the greater Houston area?

3807 Macgregor Way, Houston, TX 77021 is available, and while a gorgeous design, it is totally wrecked.

Its a shame the realtor has it severely overpriced and is basically letting it rot away.
