There were a group of people working on the back side of the building today - looks like they're still moving along on other parts besides the front.

Swamplot now reporting / speculating on the location:

River Oaks is often used broadly when developers/business owners name things... Could be anywhere north of 59, south of the Bayou, and west of Dunlavy.

I think it looks great for the area

Laughing at the "average" time to drive to dallas of 4 hours mentioned in the article. That's assuming no slowing of traffic on 45 which is rare these days.

This area needs to fix its traffic problems ... all this development is going to push San Felipe and Westheimer to their limits.

Not sure if this has been posted, but it is supposed to include an 1,800 square foot "roof-top event space":

There's a chain link fence up around the whole property, the ground has been all cleared and tilled up, and there were people working this morning. Looks like this is a go.
I'll try to get a picture tonight or tomorrow.

It was locked shut yesterday when we tried to go visit. It was the middle of the day. They definitely didn't hold back on the security cameras around the park.

A couple of huge trash containers are now on the property, and there were several people walking around on it this morning who appeared to be doing some type of surveying, but it was hard to tell.

The San Felipe tower still has no signs of breaking ground, which makes me worry.

It would be cool if they put some type of restaurant or bar on the second floor with that patio.
-
No - it's been so long ago I can't remember what the website was. When work slows down I'll have a chance to dig around a bit more and hopefully track it down.

Just received a newsletter from the BBP:
- Finalized plans for restoration of the Sunset Coffee Building at Allen’s Landing with construction to begin in January 2014;
-
It looks like the original porch was bricked in, with a lot of TLC and $$$ it could be a gem, but it will take a lot.
-
This'll be a good addition - Montrose needs more hotel options.
-
This is going to be awesome
-
Is this a second location or is it moving? The article doesn't specify, unless I'm missing something.
