Flat Four

Forgive the thread revival, but I had to Google the address to get a visual update on this property.......and I just about lost my lunch.

7 years too late responding to this post, but alas....
I was looking for info on this house also, and came across this thread. I stopped by the address a few days ago to snap some pics. I hadn't been in the MacGregor/Riverside Terrace area in years and I was expecting that it wouldn't be standing anymore. Though the home remains, it seems to just be holding on by a thread. The interior shots reveal catastrophic roof leaks and subsequent 'lakes' on the interior floor. The Womack Developing company has had a sign out front for at least 2-3 years and it still appears on the HAR website. At $195k.....makes you go "hmmmm"...

Would love to see it restored and thrive, however being located almost directly at the corner of Scott and S. MacGregor, it seems prime for retail....or worse, another McMansion. I also hope it doesn't go the way of the Leon Green House, immediately next door (3819 S. Macgregor)...which underwent a brow-cringing, botched renovation years back.

FIrst time poster, here =)

I stopped by the 2530 Underwood home this afternoon and snapped a few pics. Sadly, it's in pretty rough shape.....very neglected yard/landscape, ratty curtains and vehicles that look like they're abandoned. One of the Kirby-facing windows revealed what appears to be stacked newspapers and random junk (a hoarder, perhaps?). Even compared to the period homes of the area, the property sticks out like an ugly, un-maintained, sore thumb.

I knocked on the door to speak with owner. A 30-something year old woman answered....but hardly interested in answering questions. I asked if she was the current owner and she said it was her grandparents house originally. I asked for more details on the build date, history, etc... to which she replied, "Um.....I dunno." As we spoke I tried to peer past her into the house, but couldn't see much other than mirrored walls in the foyer and more junk littering the floor.

Such a GREAT house. Makes me so sad to see it in such a dilapidated state. Wonder how long it'll last. Figured someone should post pics.
