citykid09
The Fox program "Prison Break," for example, just announced it would film its second season in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, beginning in June. Producer Garry Brown, who formerly produced the Texas-based series "Walker, Texas Ranger," said executives scouted multiple locations before settling on Dallas."We all decided that creatively, logistically and economically, this was the place that best fit the storylines of our series," which will take the characters to spots ranging from small towns to big cities, Brown said.He said the range of locations within a 30-mile radius, the availability of talented crews and Dallas' status as a production center combined to make Texas a profitable filming site.Still, he said, the state would benefit from more incentives."It would be very important to fund those incentives, because there is extreme economic value to having film production at the level of an episodic television show continue to come in and out of this state," he said.Hudgins made the same point, noting that more television shows and studio features would prompt an inevitable spike in revenue."We could easily be half a billion dollars a year in production here," he said.http://www.theeagle.com/stories/060506/texas_20060605008.php
JGraspo
When I first read the thread title my first thought was that Dallas was the prison and the guy was going to try to break out of Dallas
Captain Impossible
You know, back in Dallas, I never saw this kind of hostility towards Houston, sports nonwithstanding. This is ridiculous. Are y'all jealous or more likely just kind of bigoted?
