LaCenterra At Cinco Ranch Developments
CincoRanch-HoustonResident replied to editor's topic in Katy and Points West
Some construction photos: Site Overview: When Completed: ---------------- The Katy Area is starting to look a little odd with these small high-rises popping up. I guess you have to start some where.- 222 replies

Well, look at it this way, every draft choice the Texans have made has been a good one. Atleast in the first round. So maybe Super Mario will be good. Lets wait and see.

Houston Dynamo FC
CincoRanch-HoustonResident replied to CincoRanch-HoustonResident's topic in Sports and Stadia
I never actually thought of that. A stadium could easily fit in that site, with a rail station next to it, should be easy to get there if you do not park in the Reliant Stadium parking lot. Also, the walkway could be covered. There might even be some room left over for some urban shops along Fannin.- 504 replies

I wonder what the British think every year when we celebrate July 4th. I am sure they are not find, so why are the people down south upset about this? Don't they celebrate their independence from Spain?- 504 replies

^Depends on where they live. If they live out in Baytown, or more Northeast/East Houston, then they will have a shorter commute. The West/Northwest/Southwest Houston would have a shorter commute going to Uptown. The Pavilions would be great with: HOB ESPN Zone Virgin Megastore Niketown and stuff not around Houston, or this region of Texas (much like you said NewMND).

http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/news/team_news.j...t=.jsp&team=hou I actually like the name now. At first it did not sound that great, but it has a good ring to it. The colors and logo for this team are pretty decent.

LaCenterra At Cinco Ranch Developments
CincoRanch-HoustonResident replied to editor's topic in Katy and Points West
^What's the reason? They are building a new mixed-used development, so it is called Stinko Ranch. There is nothing wrong with this and I do not know what the fuss is all about GettaClue.- 222 replies

Here is another mixed-used development, that is coming to the Katy area. The website is very helpful. La Centerra Groundbreaking is January 25, 2006- 222 replies

Discovery Green Park At 1500 McKinney St.
CincoRanch-HoustonResident replied to c4smok's topic in Downtown
Yeah, a freeway under a park can happen. If you have ever been to Washington D.C., the fountain in front of the Capitol Building has a freeway running through it. This parking garage/park is a good idea. No parking spaces lost, and it would be needed in the future. Should create an urban-style enviroment. -

^And at least one WR. If any of you have not seen the Reggie Bush High School years, you really need to check it out.

We should get Mike Tise as head coach, he got fired from the Vikings, or Green Bay's coach (if he is not headed anywhere).

^Good statements OTC, having the stadium in downtown would be the best idea. Make the stadium a 27,000 seater at the maxium, plus a retractable roof. Maybe a scaled-down version of Japan's stadium.
