BenH
To all who dwell in the Bend:I'm going to be working on a project for a photography class this coming semester. It will cover modern architecture in Houston from the 1950's to now. What I want to know is would you allow me to intrude for short time into your lives and homes to take a few pictures of both the interior and exterior at different times of the day. Interior shots will almost never be done at night, so you don't have to worry about me sticking a camera in your face during dinner time. Also, any history about your home that you have would be of great assistance. Any further questions you have can be posted here or e-mailed to me at zoomanderson@gmail.comThank you!BenH. Willowisp
I had Ben over to our house and he took pictures quickly yet professionally. He has offered to provide me with prints of what he's taken at cost, which more than made up for the effort of cleaning up the house for picture takers! What fascinated me most was that not only is he an architecture junkie, but that he was taking pictures using a combination of modern and vintage cameras, so he was really interested in the "old school" photography aspect of it as well. I can't wait to see the results and look forward to what comes of his project. Hopefully, more people can contribute (text, pictures, or their houses) and build a comprehensive collection of modern homes in Houston for a book/website.It will take a lot of work, but photography plays a big part in the preservation process.JasonTo all who dwell in the Bend:I'm going to be working on a project for a photography class this coming semester. BenH
There have been some changes since I shot Jason's house, the first and most important being that I've gone digital. No more 35mm film. I'll still be shooting 6x6. These shots really came out well as this one demonstrates: This one, of Jason's guest bedroom, came out particularly well: Keep in mind that the host website I'm using for the second one doesn't handle photos very well, so it doesn't look as good as it actually is. There are many, many more. If you're interested, let me know through the board or at zoomanderson@gmail.com

Willowisp
That was a good time of day to take the shot. I love the shadow the Eiffel Tower Chair base creates.Jason
