musicman
Did they take him into custody today?at this point no. he's still in the courtroom. the news said they would break in when the judge makes his decision on whether he would go to jail today or be left out on bond. Guest danax
And he'll actually have to do at least 20, or 85% of that. That's almost a life sentence for him. No "Club Fed" with that sentence either.
musicman
he's on house arrest with ankle monitor til authorities in NC (where he will be staying) tell him to report. evidently because his term is longer than a certain amount, he won't be in a minimum security facility but a medium security one. His attorney made attempts to get 10 months taken off so that he could go to a minimum security facility but they failed.
Guest Plastic
He goes to prison as soon as the trial is over. Since he's going to federal prison that means he'll be doing his whole sentence and won't be getting out till 2030.
musicman
He goes to prison as soon as the trial is over. Since he's going to federal prison that means he'll be doing his whole sentence and won't be getting out till 2030.according to the chronicle .....In the hearing, Lake ordered Skilling to be confined at home until the U.S. Bureau of Prisons determines when and where he will report to prison, a process that generally takes six to eight weeks. The ex-CEO must wear an electronic monitoring ankle bracelet at all times so federal authorities can track his movements, and he can leave his home only for specified reasons, such as grocery shopping or medical appointments. And like Danax (and the chronicle) said.....Skilling can shave up to 3 1/2 years from his prison term Edited October 24, 2006 by musicman
