TJones
I will talk to some of my cop buddies and see if I can get the officer's side of it. I see this side, and it looks pretty bad for the POPO !

Houston1stWordOnTheMoon
I am a BIG supporter of the police departments and i hope like hell that this video makes things look a lot worst than what they really are. I know there are some rotten apples in the police ranks but i think most are good honest hard working people for the most part. I hope it all works out....... torvald
i also just found this. it is supposed to be actual footage of the tazing but other than hearing an electrical clicking noise i'm not sure what is going on. i heard that the officer went across the room to use the tazer on one individual and this would be the example of that, if that's whats going on.Houston Police Officer, Tazer, Two Gallants --- you tube video Edited October 17, 2006 by torvald
torvald
saw this last night on ABC13 news... they called it a breaking storyand mentioned it before the commercials that they obtained the phonevideo that is shown above. thought that was funny as it has been on"you tube" for days... they interviewed two people from the "night club"in 10 second clips. the whole thing was maybe 2 minutes long. theyreally didn't say anything and wondered why they even covered it.maybe it was something to mention before the commercials? Guest danax
Chronicle article. "A recent nightclub brawl underscores Houston's tenuous relationship with the national independent music scene. Accounts of the incident, an Oct. 13 skirmish at Walter's on Washington that resulted in multiple Taser discharges and four arrests, have exploded on the Internet." I didn't realize that bands were already tough to attract here, now this. The officer might've unplugged the equipment instead. So now we look like we've got intolerant brute cops. Probably fits right into a lot of people's existing "Bush country" ideas about Houston. Watch, now all of the violent bands will want to play here. Is this more of a situation of the yuppies around Washington wanting a hip/funky scene as neighborhood eye candy but no noise?

RedScare
Is this more of a situation of the yuppies around Washington wanting a hip/funky scene as neighborhood eye candy but no noise?Yes.The worst part is that the reason that they are on Washington in the first place is that some townhome prick off of Durham harrassed them off of that street.Listen up, new inner city hipsters. The city is noisy. If you cannot handle it, stay in the friggin' burbs. This ranks right up there with non-smokers walking into a niteclub and complaining about the smoke....oh yeah, they screwed that up, too.
