TheNiche
cool pictures....i wish that water was bluishTexas has two kinds of water. Green and Brown. Blue applies only to the Gulf, and then only on a few select days of the year. Everything south/west of the divide between the Brazos and Colorado watersheds is green (also includes many of the upper reaches of the Brazos), and everything north/east of that line is brown. Has to do with the kinds of soil. Edited July 21, 2006 by TheNiche

Also, I heard that pollution is also a factor, because it kills off those plants that trap soil at the bottom of bayous/streams/rivers. Which is another reason Galveston is Brown.
