Kirby Ice House plans to top its own record for longest bar in Texas when it opens a new location in the Greater Heights area.

The new location is slated to debut in fall 2025 at 1421 North Loop West. Plans for the site include a 146-foot-long bar, which would set a new record for longest bar in Texas — currently held by Kirby Ice House in The Woodlands —  according to the owners.

Heights Loop, a proposed Class 2 subdivision plat replat (C2R), was submitted to the Planning & Development department last week.

The plat consists of the 1421 N Loop W parcel.

According to proposed replat, the reserve size is 3.51 acres. The reason for the plat is "to create one unrestricted reserve" (unrestricted reserve A).

Will be cool if they incorporate it into the new build if they left it around!

Ive had at least 2-3 projects in my career that were in buildings that had old bank vaults in them, one from 1910, another from like 1977. The 1977 one turned into a pretty cool conference room for the tenant.
