My grandparents lived in the Cloverleaf residential neighborhood in the mid 1960s thru the 1970's on Houston's east side..

They lived on Waxahachie St, right next door to the water office and Cloverleaf Vol. Fire Dept. I also remember that they're were area's of the block that was still wooded..

The neighborhood was mostly blue collar mostly white average families, most kept they're yards cut and clean and hardly any crime.. we kids could play outside all day.. it was a great time to be a kid..

The neighborhood has changed dramatically now.. mostly Hispanic migrants and the neighborhood looks like a run down border town.. crime is extremely bad.. it's sad it turned out that way..

Does anyone remember Cloverleaf during the early 70's besides me..??

If so I would like to hear your stories..
