Houston Hospitality House On Bagby St.

Recommended Posts

Here is Houston's Hospitality House, being constructed across the street from the Colosseum (Coliseum) at a cost of $25,000. The building proper will be equipped with restrooms, a hospital, writing rooms, and information booths. A section occupying the entire block will be covered with heat insulated roofs and will be equipped with lead drinking fountains, benches and radio amplifiers where the overflow crowed from the hall may hear the convention proceedings The facilities of this building are and free to all visitors.

The architect was Houston-based Charles W. Oliver, the Chief architect for the River Oaks Corporation.  Later The Russel Brown Company.
