Highrise Tower
I've never heard of a Stock Farm before. I have heard of Truck Farms, though. In 1918, Colonial William Bates (of the MD Anderson Foundation fame) had a very large farm in Westmoreland Farms on Old Richmond Road-- present day Bissonnet Street. It was said to have a 200 ton silo and raised a good crop of corn and peanuts. Hard to believe, 106 years ago, the Bellaire area was mainly pasture fields. To think about the amount of human construction and engineering that took place to build what is now the modern city of Bellaire.
