This legendary architecture firm based in Dallas, TX had a wide-presence in Texas. They had 3, maybe 4 offices.  Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and maybe Austin?

The company also went through many, many, different ownership changes.  I believe, at one point, there was a total of 5 or 6 owners?

Sanguinet & Staats formed in 1903 by Marshall R. Sanguinet, who had practiced in Fort Worth since 1883, and Carl G. Staats, a draftsman who had worked for James Riely Gordon.

In 1903, the Dallas office sprung from a new partnership called Sanguinet, Staats and Hill, which operated for two years under that name until Charles D. Hill left the firm. In 1922, architect Wyatt C. Hedrick joined and it became Sanguinet, Staats, and Hedrick. In turn, this firm added R.D. Gottlieb as a limited partner for just the Houston office, forming Sanguinet, Staats, Hedrick, and Gottlieb. Sanguinet and Staats retired in 1926 after selling their shares to Hedrick. From 1923 to 1934, Preston M. Geren Sr. worked for the firm as chief engineer before starting his own Fort Worth firm.

My favorite building(s) from them are YMCA Building, The Franklin Lofts, Rossonian Apartments, Houston Cotton Exchange and Board of Trade, Medical Arts Professional Building & Hospital, Convent Of The Good Shepherd, and Carter Building.
