heightsfan
Good Afternoon , hope your day goes well ! Me and my wife when to Bamboo House on Waugh last night and the food and service was wonderful ! They have hired 2 Executive Chefs from PF Changs and the wait staff are knowledgable on the food since most of them came from PEI WEI ,PF Changs , or Kim Son according to owner of Asian Fusion Bamboo House. MidtownCoog
Across from American General. Is this REALLY the "Heights?". Seems like a bit of a stretch.
heights_yankee
Across from American General. Is this REALLY the "Heights?". Seems like a bit of a stretch. No, I wouldn't say it's the Heights. You obvioulsy have to be north of Memorial (if not I-10) to be Heights. I think it's more like North Montrose... BUT, it is an area that needed a little infusion of good food! Editor, why doesn't 6th WardMemorial Heights/Rice Military have it's own board? Not enough activity?

With all the growth in RM, I think people would be happy to have a forum to discuss their neighborhood!I'd love this! Since there are a bunch of neighborhoods all growing in this part of town, maybe the new forum could be broadly named, perhaps the "Washington Avenue Corridor", or "Memorial Park/Washington Avenue"?Happy Chinese New Year, all! dbigtex56
Perhaps the neighborhood needs a silly acronym nickname (along the lines of "SoDo") Maybe GAPWAMA (Greater Allen Parkway, Washington and Memorial Area)? ByBa (pronounced "Bye-Bye") - By the Bayou WashMe (Washington/Memorial) WaWa (Washington/Waugh) and further downtown, Buffalo Bayou at Allen's Landing: BuffyLand!
